The IMAs are an international set of awards that have been won by the likes of Grammy winners Fun, Melissa Auf der Maur (bassist for Hole and Smashing Pumpkins), Jackson Browne and more. This year I am nominated with childhood heroes of mine such as Bright Eyes and Ben Kweller. I remember listening to Ben Kweller when he was in Radish and I wore out my copy of his first solo record, “Sha-Sha”. I can’t believe I am in the company of him or Bright Eyes (whose song “lover I don’t Have to Love” was my sophomore year anthem).
